Site News: New Owner
August 12, 2010 | Listed Under: Site
Hello Everyone!
I’m Natalie and I’m the new owner of Chris Pine Fan. I was the original owner of the site last year but I had to give up the site due to personal reasons. When Meli offered it up for adoption, I decided to take it back.
Faith will be joining me and we’ll be working on the site together.
We’re cleaning up a few things on the site. Anyone who knows us knows our stance on paparazzi, this means all candids will be removed from the site’s gallery.
It’ll be a few weeks at least before we can bring things up to date, but we’ll get there.
Thanks for your patience and please pardon the dust.

Chris Pine will star as Jack Ryan in winter or early spring
July 12, 2010 | Listed Under: Headlines & Rumors, Untitled Jack Ryan Project
Notice any big franchise titles missing from the summer box office?
Remember novelist Tom Clancy’s character Jack Ryan?
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura reveals that Jack Ryan will return before the cameras in “Moscow” in either late winter or early spring. Chris Pine of “Star Trek” fame is expected to fill the shoes of Ryan who has been played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck in the past.
“Moscow” isn’t based on any of the Clancy novels. Plot follows Ryan, just out of the Marines, before he joins the C.I.A., working as a financial advisor to a Russian billionaire.
Ryan gets framed and must clear his name while rescuing his wife. No director has been attached at this time.
The last Jack Ryan title starring Ben Affleck, “The Sum of All Fears,” made $118.9 million at the summer box office in 2002.

Chris Pine’s Jack Ryan titled ‘Moscow’
July 9, 2010 | Listed Under: Headlines & Rumors, Untitled Jack Ryan Project
The new Jack Ryan adventure seems to be picking up steam, it was reported a while ago that ‘Star Trek’ star Chris Pine would be the new Jack Ryan taking on the role after Alec Baldwin played the Tom Clancy hero in ‘The Hunt for Red October’ and more famously by Harrison Ford in Philip Noyce’s ‘Patriot Games’ and ‘Clear and Present Danger’ and most-recently by Ben Affleck in ‘The Sum of All Fears’ directed by Phil Alden Robinson.
The new film carries the title ‘Moscow’ could be a prequel following Jack Ryan just out of the Marines, before he joins the CIA, working as a financial consultant for a Russian billionaire. He gets framed in a terrorist plot, and has to go on the run to clear his name and rescue his kidnapped wife. “We have a very good script and I’m very happy with where we are today” Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura promises.
The film is written by Hossein Amini and Adam Cozad, and will go into production later this year or early next year and is not based on any of Clancy’s remaining unfilmed Ryan novels.

Chris Pine as Lieutenant of Inishmore – FIRST PIC!
June 19, 2010 | Listed Under: Gallery Updates, The Lieutenant of Inishmore
We have the first picture of Chris Pine in his new play, The Lieutenant of Inishmore.
The show is a blistering, graphic satire on violence set in 1993 on the rocky island of Inishmore. Padraic (Pine), a hard-boiled terrorist, has been away in Northern Ireland with his busy schedule of torture and assorted nationalist mayhem, but he is lured home to Inishmore by the news that his beloved cat, Wee Thomas, is doing poorly. When Padraic finds out Wee Thomas has been murdered, he initiates a cycle of revenge-killing that threatens everyone in his path, except perhaps the love-struck Mairead (Zoe Perry), a 16-year-old terrorist groupie with a BB gun.
The Lieutenant of Inishmore starts previews at the Mark Taper Forum on June 30, opens July 11 and continues through August 8, 2010. Tickets are available at CenterTheatreGroup.org!
